What materials do you use? All Salty Jewels pieces are made from high-quality stainless steel or 14k gold-filled materials. I also use genuine freshwater pearls, semi-precious gemstones, and natural sea shells—each item is made to last and inspired by the ocean.

Is gold-plated the same as gold-filled? No, they’re different. Gold-filled jewelry has a much thicker layer of real gold mechanically bonded to a base metal (like brass), making it more durable and resistant to tarnish. Gold-plated jewelry has only a thin layer of gold that can wear off more quickly. At Salty Jewels, I use 14k gold-filled, which offers long-lasting shine and quality without the high cost of solid gold.

Do you have a physical store? There is no Salty Jewels store yet. However, if you are in Canggu, Bali you can find some of our pieces at the store 'Yoga Republic', which is open every day. If you are in Vienna, Austria you can find Shell necklaces and shell rings at Aponcho Beachwear.

Which markets do you attend in Bali? We often attend popular artisan markets in Bali such as: – Drifter Sunday Market in Uluwatu (Once a month) – Hatch Market in Uluwatu (Sundays) – Alchemy Market in Uluwatu and Ubud (Saturday, once a month) – Mamadas Midweek Bazaar in Uluwatu (Weekly on Wednesdays) (Exact locations and dates vary, so check Instagram for updates!)

Are your pieces waterproof? Yes! All Salty Jewels are made to be worn every day — even in the ocean. I use stainless steel or gold-filled materials that won’t tarnish.

Can I get a piece repaired? Yes, of course! If something breaks or needs a fix, send us a photo and we’ll let you know if we can repair or replace it — We want your jewelry to last.

Do you take custom requests? Yes! If you have something special in mind and you are in Bali, message us on Instagram and we’ll see what’s possible. We love creating meaningful pieces.
